La Traviata tells the tale of a courtesan dying of tuberculosis who catches the eye of the young, Alfredo. Our love story slowly crumbles as the two-encounter jealousy, rage, and humiliation. Verdi pushed the limits with Traviata by publicly showcasing tuberculosis, an incurable disease at the time, overwhelming cities worldwide.
