Driver taken to hospital after crashing into Hamilton bank

First Published:

A man in his thirties is in hospital after his vehicle crashed into a bank in Hamilton’s east end.

It happened just after 2 a.m. at the Scotiabank near Queenston Rd. and Nash Rd.

The car appeared to have struck a pole outside of the bank’s drive-thru ATM leaving bricks and debris from the vehicle scattered across the ground.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital via ambulance.

Police say the investigation is ongoing but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
