Driver charged in White Oaks Spa crash

First Published:

A Hamilton man has been charged in a crash in Niagara-on-the-Lake late last year.

On Nov. 18, a vehicle was travelling on Taylor Rd. near Glendale Ave. when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over into oncoming traffic, police said in the original news release.

He struck a culvert, became airborne and landed in the parking lot of the White Oaks Resort and Spa where he struck several parked vehicles.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

Cameron Hobbs, 20, has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

He is scheduled to appear in a St. Catharines court in March.
