Dozens of exotic birds stolen from Ancaster home

Hamilton Police say 34 exotic birds were stolen from an Ancaster home sometime last week.

The birds were taken from a specially-built shed at a home in the Floresta Court and Oakley Court area sometime between Novemeber 7 and Novemeber 12.

The stolen birds are all different types of finches including 12 Forbes Tricolour Parrot finch that are rare and hard to acquire.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Division Three Detectives at 905-546-4947.
