Deliberation begins in Tim Bosma trial

[projekktor id=’24415′]
After months of hearing testimony and seeing evidence the jury is now deliberating on the charges against Dellen Millard and Mark Smich. At this point in the trial typically we can report on everything the jury didn’t hear, the arguments that happened when the jury was asked to leave the room and the evidence that was excluded because it might be too prejudicial. But in this case there is very little we can report because there are two more trials to come.
Dellen Millard and Mark Smich are also facing first degree murder in the death of Laura Babcock, she was one of Dellen Millard’s girlfriends. She went missing and prosecutors believe she was killed in July of 2012. That’s about the same time Smich and Millard obtained at least one gun and that’s when they bought the farm animal incinerator that was used to destroy Tim Bosma’s body.
Dellen Millard alone is facing a third murder charge, his father Wayne was originally thought to have killed himself with a gun later in 2012. Police now believe Millard killed his father. That trial is scheduled after the Babcock trial, both are expected to start next year.
The jury started deliberating at about 4pm Monday afternoon, they came back around 8pm for a question and then the judge told the jury they need a good night’s rest. Deliberations will resume tomorrow.
