Carmen D’angelo holds a coveted senior position at the Niagara region making $230,000 a year. The process that got him there has come under fire.
Pelham Mayor Dave Augustyn wants the Ontario ombudsman to investigate.
After Grant Lafletche, a reporter for the St. Catharines Standard published allegations that D’angelo had access to documents containing interview questions and answers.
Documents he alleges were written by staff for Regional Chair Alan Caslin.
Lafletche says the documents also contained confidential information about the other seven candidates applying for the job.
Express Employment Professionals is a staffing firm in St. Catharines, who say that confidentiality is one of the most important aspect for job seekers when it comes to hiring.
D’angelo and Caslin have no response to the allegations.
