Coyote rescued after being trapped on the QEW

First Published:

A coyote is back in the wild after being rescued from the QEW near Geneva Street in St. Catharines.

The Lincoln County Humane Society says the coyote jumped a barrier, began walking along the lower barrier and then became ‘extremely wedged’ between the two walls.

It took eight people about 45 minutes to free the canine. She was then treated by the humane society and released back into the wild.

A Facebook post on the Lincoln County Humane Society’s page read, “She was healthy, unhappy with us and the perfect coyote!”
