Christmas holiday closures

Here’s what will be open and what won’t over Christmas and Boxing Day.

Government offices, libraries, banks, the LCBO and Beer Stores will all close early today, and will remain closed tomorrow and Friday. Most malls & other stores are also closed tomorrow before the big Boxing Day rush.

After today there will be no mail until Monday. Electricity will be at the off-peak rate all day tomorrow and Boxing Day.

And in most areas, garbage and recycling collection are delayed one day the rest of the week.

GO transit will offer early homebound service this afternoon. Transit systems will run on holiday schedules tomorrow & Boxing Day.

There will be no Morning Live or news programming on Thursday, but it will return Friday.
