CHCH footage leads to Ottawa St. graffiti arrest

Hamilton Police are crediting security footage aired by CHCH News for helping them make an arrest in a graffiti spree on Ottawa St.

On Wednesday, CHCH News aired a story about several businesses on Ottawa St. getting tagged.

That piece including security footage from a local business.

Police say because of that footage, officers were able to make an arrest.

A 24-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested and charged with five counts of mischief under $5,000 for damaging property.

He’s been released and is scheduled to appear in court Apr. 10.
