Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing a cancer donation box.

Police say the Ride to Conquer Cancer charity held a banquet dinner at the Sheraton Hotel on King Street this past Saturday. During the event, a cash box with roughly $11,000 was stolen from the event organizers.

Police have released the photo above taken from video surveillance that night. The man is described as white, 40 to 45 years of age with short, blonde hair. He was wearing an orange polo shirt, dark jeans and brown running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
