An important discussion is happening at McMaster University. As students prepare for upcoming classes, they are being invited to participate in talks focusing on sexual assault and consent. The students union want to get students talking about sexual violence on campus. They invited professional speakers Kim and Tiq Milan to give the university a talk about consent, sexual violence and rape culture.

Last year, McMaster’s engineering society was connected to a book filled with profanity laced misogynist songs. The year before, a video of sexist frosh week chants at St. Mary’s University in Halifax appeared online.
