Halton Police have arrested a Burlington teacher, after receiving multiple complaints of physical abuse and inappropriate sexual touching from a number of students.

58-year old Dennis Connolly faces multiple charges including sexual assault and sexual interference.

During the time of the alleged incidents, Connolly taught music to students in grades one to five at Alexander’s Public School on Sutton Drive.

The school board says he was removed from the school after learning about the allegations through Children’s Aid.

It’s not clear how long he has been employed with the Halton District School Board.

Police believe there may be more victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
