Brantford man charged after trying to light a man on fire


Just before 11:30 pm on Tuesday night, Brantford police responded to a call about a disturbance on Dalhousie st.

A man was seen chasing another man down the street who was apparently throwing gasoline onto him.

The accused then took a lit bottle of gasoline and threw it at the victim, missing him, He tried again, missing him a second time.

A 38 year old Brantford man is charged with using explosives, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of an explosive substance while prohibited, assault with a weapon and breach of probation.

The victim was not injured.
