Bosma Day 45

In letters presented in court it was clear Dellen Millard wrote a lot about his case to his girlfriend while in jail awaiting trial for first degree murder. He wrote love letters and he wrote fantasy letters where he devised scenarios for his friends to help him in court.

We know Christina Noudga has been charged as accessory after the fact, she helped her boyfriend move Tim Bosma’s truck, the incinerator and possibly also the murder weapon shortly before his arrest. It’s clear from the letters Christina Noudga and Dellen Millard knew there was a no-contact order, that they were legally forbidden to communicate but there were a lot of letters in Millard’s own hand, found in Noudga’s bedroom.

Millard tried to convince Noudga to be his secret agent, she told the court secret agent had been a career aspiration and in letters from jail, Millard wanted her to contact their friend Andrew Michalski.
“He’s got to say he never heard anything about any thefts or plans to steal anything, especially nothing about stealing a truck.”

Millard continues to give Noudga instructions about what to tell Michalski, who he nicknames Kodiak.
“This is the rest of my life at stake. I need his help. I need him to undo the damage he has done me. I need him to get on the stand and say that I showed him pictures of a truck and asked which I should buy, not steal. Buy.”

Millard starts learning Ukrainian in jail, Noudga’s mother tongue, and writing to her in the language. She testified that he made no move to learn her language before going to jail and he became much more romantic after he was imprisoned. Millard sent her the floor plan to a dream home he was designing for them. Then he starts talking about his case again. He develops a scenario, using code names.
“Maybe itchy told kodiak that I was not there and not involved with what went down. That itchy had gone with two of his boyz and something bad happened. That when I found out, itchy’s boyz threatened violence… itchy begged me to help him hide what had happened.”

Noudga says itchy was Mark Smich and a note on the side of the page says “this does more to help itchy than I feel he deserves.”

The scenario answers a lot of questions, Millard muses, “I would be a sitting duck for the killers who would want to ensure I never talk. Maybe itchy told this to kodiak… have you made contact with kodiak? Will he help?”

Noudga said she never contacted anyone Millard asked her to contact. She says she felt at a certain point she was being played with Millard getting so mushy in his letters, while at the same time trying to get her to tamper with witnesses in his case. Clearly she didn’t destroy the letters as Millard asked her to. Whereas the letters she sent to him in jail were never found.
She’s back for cross examination tomorrow.
