It’s now been 10 years since the naked, lifeless body of a newborn baby boy was found in a wooded area in Brantford. And despite an extensive investigation, police were unable to track down the baby’s parents or determine how he died. Police have released new information about the case. They’re hoping it will provide new leads and help them solve a case that’s touched the hearts of so many .

Police named the baby Parker after a nearby street and immediately launched an extensive investigation to find his mother. Hundreds of DNA samples were collected and hundreds of neighbours interviewed. But police could not find baby Parkers parents.

In hopes of furthering the investigation police released more information, they say autopsy results revealed the infant had a broken rib and showed signs of blunt force trauma to his skull. They also released the full contents of a letter they received from someone claiming to be baby Parker’s mother. “There is information that is captured in this letter that only someone with intimate knowledge would have.” said Constable Nat Laing from Brantford Police Service.

All of this information is being released 10 years after baby Parker’s body was abandoned. Police hope it will encourage anyone with information to come forward, a friend, a family member, and most of all, baby Parker’s mother. “It’s been long enough, the mother needs to come forward now. Baby Parker needs to find out who his family is. The family deserves to know.”
