Explosions have rocked the airport in Istanbul, Turkey, which is the 3rd largest in Europe. It happened at the entrance to the international departures terminal. Dozens of people are dead, and the death toll continues to rise.

The explosion was captured on surveillance video inside the terminal. Government officials say 2 people were stopped by security officials at the entrance. Those security personnel then opened fire. That’s when the 2 apparently detonated suicide vests. Ataturk Airport is one of the busiest in the world, and it’s also one of the most secure. Cars are stopped and checked before arriving at terminals and travelers are screened with metal detectors before being allowed inside. That’s apparently where the blasts occurred. Turkey has been targeted by ISIS twice this year, as well as by Kurdish Militants. It shares a long border with Syria.
