Annaleise Carr will start her historic swim earlier than planned tomorrow, due to possible thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon.

The youngest person to swim across Lake Ontario in 2012 is trying to break a world record.

Carr was supposed to start the swim at 10 am tomorrow, but instead will start a 5 a.m. The 16 year old from Walsh will swim 70 kilometers from Erie, Pennsylvania, and finish in Port Dover. It’s expected to take around 30 hours to complete.

Carr is swimming in support of Camp Trillium.

Miranda Anthistle was in Port Dover Thursday night with a preview.
