Air Canada customer service workers back on the job

Air Canada customer service agents were back at work Friday.

A tentative contract has been reached between the Canadian Auto Workers union and the airline. The deal was announced just hours after Ottawa tabled back-to-work legislation.

The four-year pact includes a wage increase. However, the dispute over what type of pension plan new hires will get will go to an arbitrator.

Not all airline employees and travelers are in the clear. Air Transat flight attendants have given their union a strike mandate, with 95 percent voting to reject the latest offer from the airline.
