First Published:

A disturbing interaction caught on camera. It happened in a Walmart parking lot in Stoney Creek. A white man hitting an Indian-Canadian woman with his truck, telling the couple that he’s racist and adds that he would kill their children first. Police are reviewing it as a possible hate crime.

The man in the truck, who police have identified as 47 year old Dale Robertson of Hamilton, can be heard making threats to a couple of Indian heritage.

A close friend of the victims, Patryck Laszczuk says the couple are too shaken to speak on camera.

At one point in the video it appears that the driver hits the mans wife who was recording the incident.

The Indian-Canadian man is heard explaining that he is a Canadian citizen and the driver mocks the mans accent.

We showed Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger the video which has been posted on Youtube.

The Mayor says there is no place for this kind of discrimination in Hamilton.

This incident happened on the same day city hall celebrated Newcomers Day, to welcome immigrants to Hamilton.

The couple’s friend says they have recently moved to Hamilton from Brampton, and have a young daughter.

The investigation continues by Hamilton Police to determine whether this was a hate crime.

Hamilton Police have charged the driver, Dale Robertson with dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and threatening death. The friend of the victim says Robertson had a child in the car with him at the time of the incident.
