Hamilton restaurant owner facing several drug trafficking charges

First Published:

The owner of a Hamilton restaurant is facing several drug trafficking charges after police seized roughly $20,000 worth of drugs.

Earlier this month, the Hamilton Police Guns and Gangs Unit launched an investigation into a suspected drug dealer in the city.

Officers arrested a Hamilton man after they pulled over his vehicle last Friday.

Police executed search warrants at a home on Bastille St. as well as at the Taste of the Caribbean restaurant on Kenilworth Ave.

Investigators say a large quantity of illicit drugs including cocaine and cash were seized inside the home and business.

Marvin Sursen, 40, is facing eight counts of drug related charges.
