Woman robbed after leaving St. Catharines convenience store

Police are searching for a male suspect after a woman was robbed in St. Catharines late Wednesday.

It happened outside a convenience store near Martindale Rd. and Grapeview Dr. around 11 p.m.

Police say a female clerk was leaving the store for the evening when she was accosted from behind while she walked to her vehicle.

The suspect forced their way inside her vehicle and a struggle ensured. The thief then fled on foot with some of the woman’s belongings.

Police say the victim suffered minor physical injuries during the ordeal.

The suspect is described as having a small build and was last seen on Grapeview Dr. wearing a hooded sweater.
