A new climate change centre at Mohawk College is facing an uncertain future under the Ford government.
The Centre for Climate Change Management is a join initiative between the college, the cities of Hamilton and Burlington, and Sustainable Hamilton Burlington.
It is currently under construction and was created to outline climate plans for the municipalities.
The centre was receiving $2 million a year from the provincial cap and trade program, which has been scrapped by the PC government.
Ford says the cap and trade program is a government cash grab that doesn’t actually benefit the environment.
