Parkinson was already dead. Police won’t say where he lived or why they believe he was the target of this shooting. Police say two suspects are on the loose, but they have no descriptions of them yet. They are looking for anyone nearby who may have video surveillance from Friday night.

Neighbours say a couple live in a house with their young adult children, and that there were young people always coming and going. In particular, the shed in the backyard was a popular place for late night parties.

Police still stand watch over the backyard, which is surrounded by police tape along with the rest of the house. White-suited investigators still traipse in and out of the scene gathering evidence.

Parkinson was found lying face up on the sidewalk, at the end of the driveway, which connects to the backyard.

Friday night was midnight madness downtown Oakville, which is about a 15 minute walk away, and several people learned about the murder when they were were affected by road closures after the event.

Halton Police say they are thoroughly collecting evidence here and expect this house to remain behind police tape for at least another day.
