Adidas promises to use only recycled plastics by 2024

First Published:

Adidas has announced plans to make its products more sustainable.

The sportswear maker has committed to using only recycled plastic in its products by 2024.

It also said it would stop using new plastic in its offices, retail outlets and warehouses.

The move makes Adidas the latest company to pledge to make changes to its plastic use.

Dozens of companies including McDonald’s and Starbucks have pledged to decrease their plastic use.

Global use of plastic has increased greatly over the last 50 years.

Research shows there will be more plastic than fish by weight in the world’s oceans by 2050.
