Halton Regional Police have two people in custody and are searching for a third person in an early morning break and enter in Milton.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the yard of a trucking company compound on Alliance Dr. around 5 a.m. Monday.

There were three men inside the vehicle.

When the officer approached, the driver attempted to pin the officer between the vehicle and a transport truck before fleeing the scene.

The officer was not injured but a security guard at the site suffered minor injuries while trying to get out of the way.

The other two men fled on foot.

The vehicle was later spotted travelling eastbound on Highway 401 but police say a chase was ended because the man was driving dangerously.

Police are still searching for the vehicle, described as a black 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up with chrome rims and exhaust.

It has the licence plate AR 55496 and a “Harley Davidson” emblem on the back window.

It was reported stolen in Peel Region.

Meanwhile around 6 a.m. Halton officers spotted two men matching the descriptions of the two who fled on foot.

They were arrested without incident and charges are pending.
