Hamilton Ticats updates

First Published:

In CFL news, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats made it official today, announcing the signing of cornerback Delvin Breaux to a 1-year contract worth a reported just under $200,000.

The lucrative deal which makes him the highest paid defensive back in the CFL was done in a 1 year fashion to allow the 28-year old to test the NFL in 2019. After three seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Breaux did miss substantial time after breaking his fibula twice, and the free agent was not signed during the NFL off-season. While playing the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Tiger-Cats, Breaux was a two-time all-star. The newest Ticat has joined his teammates out in Calgary and appears ready for duty!

Also joining the team is Canadian long-snapper Tanner Doll who played in the last two seasons with the Ottawa Senators. In response were 3 cuts that include defensive lineman Lynden Trail, defensive back Jaleel Wadood and veteran defensive back Demond Washington who was limited to just 7 games last year due to injury and has not seen the field this season.
