Milton man charged with criminal harassment

A Milton man is facing harassment charges in connection with an investigation by Halton Regional Police.

A 34-year-old woman from Milton reported receiving 250 calls and text messages from unknown phone numbers from an unknown man who went by “Sam.”

She told police she had initially ignored the messages but they coming and became more personal.

On June 8 the woman was in a store in Milton when she believed she came face to face with “Sam.”

When she confronted him, he ran away.

A week later, the same man showed up at the parking lot of her home with a child.

She quickly called police.

33-year-old Sadhu Singh from Milton was arrested without incident.

The child he was with was taken into custody by next of kin.

Singh was charged with criminal harassment and harassing communications. He was released on bail.

Halton Police are reminding anyone experiencing any unwanted stalking or criminal harassment behaviour to contact them.
