Hamilton police are appealing for witnesses of a ‘potential shooting’ on Stoney Creek Mountain.

Officers were called to a townhouse complex near 23 Echovalley Dr. at 9:30 p.m. on Monday. Police say someone reported they heard possible gunshots earlier that day, around 8 a.m. It was also reported to police that a man was seen running into one of the units and two other men were spotted fleeing the area.

Hamilton police canvassed the area to speak with residents and were on scene throughout the night.

Investigators are looking for two men who were dressed in construction type clothing with yellow hard hats and white breathing masks over their faces.

Police are asking for any witnesses who may have heard or seen suspicious activity on Monday morning around 8 a.m. to call Det. Constable Greg Mills at 905-546-2957.
