Movement to name new school across from Tim Hortons Field after Bernie Custis

First Published:

For over 50 years Bernie Custis dazzled Hamiltonians with his skills on the football field, shared his knowledge as a coach and perhaps most importantly moulded young minds in the classroom as an educator.

In a small way, an opportunity to thank this local legend has come to light as the Hamilton-Wentworth District School board is accepting public consultation for a name for the new school that’s being build across the street from Tim Horton’s Field and there’s a strong local movement to have the high school dedicated in his name.
