Ancaster man, 27, charged in string of gym locker thefts

An Ancaster man is facing several charges after someone broke into a number of gym lockers and stole the contents inside.

Halton police received seven reports of property stolen at two GoodLife Fitness locations in Burlington between Feb. 16 and Mar. 9.

Police arrested and charged 27-year-old Michael Jardine.

Officers executed a search warrant Jardine’s Ancaster home and seized several items including clothing, identification, gift cards and Presto cards.

Jardine has been charged with theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and eight counts of fail to comply with probation.
