Police investigate armed bank robbery in Oakville

Halton Police are investigating after an armed robbery at an Oakville bank Monday afternoon.

According to police, a masked man carrying a long gun entered the CIBC branch at Speers Rd. and Fourth Line around 2 p.m.

The man stole money and drove off in a grey older model Dodge Caravan type van, which was last seen travelling northbound on Fourth Line.

No one was injured.

The man is described  as six-feet tall with a thin build, wearing black baggy pants with two white stripes.

He was carrying a red gym bag with “Goodlife Fitness” written in white.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825 4747 ext. 2216.
