Canada ties for gold in two-man bobsled

Canada has tied with Germany for gold in men’s two-man bobsled at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Justin Kripps and Alexander Kopacz had a combined four-run time of 3:16.86.

The pair tied Germany’s Francesco Friedrich and Thorsten Margis for first place.

This is the second time in Olympic history Canada has tied for gold in the two-man bobsleigh.

The first time was in 1998 at the Nagano Games in Japan.

Hamilton’s Nick Poloniato and Burlington’s Jesse Lumsden, who is a former CFL running back, ended in seventh place.
