First Published:

Police believe a stolen vehicle found at a home on Bluffs Way in Burlington was from York Region.

Police were called around 4 p.m. yesterday for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a multi-million dollar home.

A witness told police they watched someone put a firearm inside the car.

Tactical teams were spotted pulling into the driveway.

The Halton police armoured truck was also sent to the scene. About a dozen officers were there to investigate. Many were seen on the street heavily armed with assault rifles.

Police also used a drone to map the area and called the K9 unit to try and track the person or people who stole the vehicle. No one was found.

Police called in a tow truck to take away the 2016 black Honda Civic.

Investigators from the criminal investigation branch were expected to process the vehicle for fingerprints today.

They are also looking for video surveillance from the home.
