Hamilton man faces child pornography charges

First Published:

a 31-year old Hamilton man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation by the Hamilton police internet child exploitation unit or ICE.  Police began investigating after a tip that he was uploading child pornography. Officers executed a search warrant at a home in Hamilton on Friday and arrested Jory Anguish.

Anguish has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. Police say a forensic examination of seized electronics is ongoing and its possible additional charges may be laid.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact Hamilton police or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Hamilton ICE unit investigates the online exploitation of children, something that’s becoming a growing problem. They tackle anything from child luring to child porn and teens who take explicit images of themselves and share them online.  Last year the ICE unit investigated 178 cases and laid more than 80 charges, that number up more than 40% from the year before.
