Three shot during Hamilton Mountain home invasion

Hamilton police are investigating after three people were shot during a home invasion late Friday night.

Police responded to a break and enter at a home on Upper Wentworth Street just north of Rymal Road around 11:23 p.m.

All three victims suffering from gunshot wounds were taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“This is believed to be a targeted incident posing no threat to the larger community” police said in a press release.

Investigators say they are looking for multiple suspects believed to be around 18 years old. They took off before police arrived.
