Woman steals painting from Brantford General Hospital

Brantford police are looking for a woman after artwork to be auctioned off to raise money was stolen from the Brantford General Hospital during the middle of the night.

Police say around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, a woman took a painting of The Beatles from a wall inside the hospital.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video wearing a grey roots sweater, a black jacket and dark pants. An image released by Brantford police appears to show the woman wearing a red brimmed baseball cap and carrying a bag.

Police say the painting was on display to be auctioned off and is valued at roughly $200.
