The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for a variety of pie and tart shells due to a possible E.coli contamination.
The recall affects tart shells, deep dish pie shells and sweetened tart shells sold under the brands Great Value, Apple Valley, No Name and Western Family.
The pie and tart shells are produced by Edmonton-based company Harlan Bakeries and were sold across Canada.
The best before dates on the affected products range from November 24, 2017 and December 21, 2017.
The CFIA says the recalled shells should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.
The agency says there have been no reported illness associated with the recalled products.
