The upcoming cold weather has no match for a Christmas story that warms the heart. A Hamilton family held their second annual toy drive for City Kidz, and in honour a family friend’s baby who passed away three years ago.

The Baldson and Alvey family’s toy drive took place 6 p.m. on Sunday night on 932 Upper Ottawa St. Visitors were welcomed and treated to Christmas lights, a visit from Santa Claus and some holiday goodies. All the family asked for was that people bring an unwrapped toy or gift card donation City Kidz of Hamilton.

The family will continue to accept donations for City Kidz at their home until Dec. 11.
