A man has pleaded guilty in a fatal drunk driving case in Hamilton.

Twenty-five year old David Megna has pleaded guilty to one count of impaired driving causing death and another of causing bodily harm.

Police say Megna had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood when his BMW lost control at a high rate of speed, crashing into a minivan on Paramount Drive near Upper Mount Albion last September 4th.

The crash killed 22-year old Tyler Torres, who was a passenger in Megna’s car.

The Crown and defence have agreed on a four year prison sentence. Megna will be sentenced October 18th.
