A man with a knife robbed a mother who was pushing her two year old son on a swing set at a St. Catharines park.

It happened around 2:30pm Tuesday at the Bailey Street Park. The man demanded access to the woman’s purse and fled the area with some cash and prescription medication.

The woman and her son were not hurt.

Police are looking for a white male between 30-35 years old, with a thin build and short black hair.

He was wearing a red t-shirt with white writing and blue shorts.

Police are asking anyone with information or surveillance cameras in the area to give them a call.
