One person is dead, another in critical condition after a fatal crash on Highway 6.  Just before 7 pm a car and a crane truck crashed head on at the intersection of Highway 6 and Millgrove Side Rd in Flamborough. The crane then fell on top of the car and took fire fighters over an hour to extricate the trapped victims.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead on the scene, the passenger was taken to Hamilton General hospital in critical condition.

Highway 6 will be closed between Concession 5 and Concession 6 for several hours while police investigate.
