HSR bus driver charged after hitting pedestrian

A Hamilton bus driver has been charged after hitting a woman at the MacNab transit terminal

A 22-year old Hamilton woman is suffering from severe injuries to her feet and ankles, after she was hit by an HSR bus yesterday afternoon.

Police say the woman was looking down and not paying attention to her surroundings, when the bus struck her in the middle of a turn.

The bus driver has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian. The HSR says the driver will not be driving while the police investigation is ongoing.
