A local sub shop on the Hamilton mountain is on the lookout for a senior citizen who bought a sandwich and then swiped the tip jar. It was all caught on tape and owners are hoping to get the money back.

Speedy Subs prides itself on quick service but Pat Shabot and her fellow employee weren’t fast enough to catch a thief from stealing about $20 from a tip jar late Monday night.

A year and a half ago Speedy Subs implemented security cameras after they were robbed at gunpoint in the Halloween of 2014. The suspects made way with the entire cash register and $600. After that scary incident they never thought they’d be looking for a little old lady, who’s only weapon was her charm.

Pat said the woman paid with her own money and while she continued packing up for the night the thief made her move. The owner hasn’t called police, they just want the thief to fess up and return the money.
