A motorcycle and an SUV burst into flames after crashing just after 6:00 pm in Burlington Saturday night.

43 year old Mitch Crate of Waterdown was driving the motorcycle with his girlfriend Arlette Sharmoun on the back when they hit a Ford Escape.

According to the Halton police collision reconstruction team, a 61 year old Burlington man was driving west on Dundas street and turned onto Eaglesfield drive in front of the oncoming motorcycle, police say it’s clear speed was a factor.
