A Flamborough business owner is staying positive after a devastating fire destroyed his workshop, causing approximately $500 000 worth of damage. The owner of Flamborough Patio Furniture on Highway 6, known for its dinosaurs on the front lawn says business will have to carry on as usual.

The owner says it started because he was cleaning the barbeque on the back patio, he stepped away and came back to a fire. The dinosaurs everyone knows and loves on the front lawn survived, but the workshop is now a pile of debris.

More than 25 fire trucks were sent to battle the blaze. The workshop is in between the business’ office building and a home. Both buildings were filled with smoke and the back wall of the office building also caught fire.

The business is still open and makes custom patio furniture and play sets.
