Police investigating two bank robberies in Hamilton

Update: Hamilton Police have arrested the man involved in these robberies.  He is the same man linked to the robbery at the Pioneer Gas Station earlier that morning.

Police are investigating two separate bank robberies in Hamilton.

One took place just shortly before 11 am at the TD Canada Trust on King Street West. The suspect entered the bank and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second robbery took place just after 11 am at the Royal Bank of Canada located on Locke Street South and Main Street.

The suspect there also stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two robberies may be linked, but that cannot be confirmed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
