1 person injured in multi-vehicle crash on Garden City Skyway bridge

First Published:

One person has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on the Garden City Skyway bridge in St. Catharines.

Police say just before 9 a.m. there was a crash between a car and a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW). The pickup truck flipped over the concrete barrier and landed in the path of oncoming traffic causing a multi-vehicle pile-up.

A transport truck hauling several vehicles was involved in the collision.

All Toronto-bound lanes were closed for several hours to allow crews to clean up debris on the roadway. All lanes have since been reopened.
